Hello dear TEFL students/Colombo teachers,
I'm thrilled to see that we now have our very own TEFL blog and I hope you read it and contribute to it.
Let me take this opportunity to tell you how proud I am of you all...for working so hard and taking the TEFL course so seriously. It isn't easy (what's the difference between CLT and TBL?!!) but I know the end results will make it all worthwhile.
See you in class really soon!
Beth

Hi everyone! This is an exciting time for the Colombo Americano to start a blog as part of the TEFL course. I think this will become a valuable tool for communicating with each other and asking and answering questions. We can take the learning process beyond the classroom. Cool!

Hello every body! hey! I wanna tell you that I am very happy attending this tefl course. I feel and learning and " relearning" many things.

I want to explain a little bit my cartoon. First of all the character may reprsent all human beings around the word.besides that the setting Africa makes refereces to the place where all humans come from (according to what antropologist say).

And what I mean in the bubble "Sala Malekum" means good morning! may the peace be with you-in arabic.so to me the most important purpose for learning a foreing language is intercultural communication.

Hello everybody, I really had a great time creating my own cartoon, if you want to take a look at it, go here toondoo.com, and you will find it under this name, cristina.

About our second Task for Module 6, TEFL Certificate Course:

I will enjoy reading about Reading so I can improve the way a do my Reading activities in class.

I can assure you guys that I am the luckiest man on Earth becuase I will have the chance to work with two gorgeous ladies: La Rubia Y La Morena. These two women are beautiful like flowers. (Not Begonias, of course).

Willy,

We (speaking group) spent a good amount of time looking for a website that could give us speaking practice. There's plenty of material for class prep and ideas but no direct online outlet -at least free of charge. Are we focusing wrongly?

Unknown said...

Ricardo,
It's according to the anthropologist and science. There is no doubt. We're all the same and from the same place. The idea of race is debunked, caput, hot air, false.

Willy S said...

Leo,
I understand what you meant about the quest your group is into. I think you should focus on features of speaking like pronunciation, on-line chat, speaking strategies and so on.

Take care

Sandra and Janeth,

Part of being in the TEFL course is to make our friendship stronger to benefit ourselves as professional teachers: sharing, helping one another, growing together in harmony, being patient...

It was an enormous pleasure to have worked with you two on our second task for WillyS, Module 6.

A huge hug.

And don't forget, I'm The King of the Begonias !
